Answer: 45 days. A Claim of Lien must then be recorded within 90 days of last furnishing, and the lien enforced within 1 year. (Look it up: FS Chapter 713.)

Q. With current assets of $150,000 and current liabilities of $100,000, what is the current ratio?
Answer: 1.5. Current ratio = current assets ÷ current liabilities = 150,000 ÷ 100,000 = 1.5. (Look it up: Builder's Guide to Accounting, financial ratios.)
Complying with Government Regulations
Q. A work-related fatality must be reported to OSHA within:
Answer: 8 hours. In-patient hospitalizations, amputations, and losses of an eye must be reported within 24 hours. (Look it up: Florida Contractor's Manual, OSHA.)
Managing Administrative Duties (payroll taxes)
Q. The employer's share of the Social Security (OASDI) portion of FICA is:
Answer: 6.2%. Plus 1.45% for Medicare (no wage cap). FUTA is 6.0% on the first $7,000, usually netting 0.6% after the state credit. (Look it up: IRS Circular E.)
